Atze's Corner The Bachelor Shiraz 2022

Sourced from a single, dry-grown vineyard planted in 1960, the ‘Bachelor’ is named for the solitary life of the vineyard's original custodian, Bert Kleining.

It opens with plush aromas of blackberry, plum and violet, underscored by hints of clove, dark chocolate and cedar. The palate is full-bodied yet poised – rich in dark fruit but lifted by the freshness of white pepper, bright acidity and fine, playful tannins.

Aged in a mix of seasoned and new French oak, it’s structured but not showy, allowing the old-vine character and site expression to shine through. This is Barossa Shiraz with soul – ready now but built to age.
